Dates and Deadlines by Program Term

Winter Break Provider Program Application Deadline

September 15th, 2026

Students should submit their ¹Ï×ÓTV application for a specific study abroad program by this date. Learn more about scholarship availability and eligibility requirements on the Policies and Procedures page. All students must pay the $100 ¹Ï×ÓTV Education Abroad Application Fee in order to participate. Students must also complete and submit the provider's program application by the provider's deadline in order to participate.

Withdrawal Deadline

September 15th, 2026

The Withdrawal Deadline is the final opportunity for a student to withdraw their study abroad application before any money is spent reserving airline tickets, hotel accommodations, and other program expenses. If a participant knows they will not be able to participate in the program for any reason (financial, academic, personal, etc.), they should withdraw before this deadline in order to avoid incurring any withdrawal fees.

Anyone withdrawing from a Winter Break Provider program after the withdrawal deadline will be charged a withdrawal fee (up to the full cost of the program) and will forfeit their $100 ¹Ï×ÓTV application fee. Withdrawal fee(s) will be assessed by the program provider. See the complete withdrawal policy on the Policies and Procedures page. 

Post-Acceptance Forms

Varies by form

Once accepted into a study abroad program, students will be asked to complete various post-acceptance forms. These forms will request information about the student, which may include the student's medical information, passport details, recent photo, insurance documentation, etc. Post-acceptance forms requesting a student's flight information or passport details may be uploaded after the due date should those documents/information not yet be available.

Canvas Orientation Deadline

November 2nd, 2026

All students studying abroad must complete the online orientation through the Canvas system. You will receive more details about the Canvas orientation once you are added to the Canvas course upon your acceptance into a study abroad program.

Program Orientation

TBD - Winter Break Provider Program orientation dates are set by the specific program provider. ¹Ï×ÓTV does not have an in-person orientation for Winter Break Provider programs.

Students on Winter Break Provider programs through CCSA, GLO, KIIS, Projects Abroad, USAC, or WorldStrides will attend an orientation hosted by that program provider. Students should refer to their program provider's website for more information. This orientation could be held in-person or held online.

  • If this information is not available at the time you submit your program application, please provide as much information as is known (whether it is online or in-person, when it will be announced, etc.).

Non-Compliance Fees

Students who fail to submit required post-acceptance documentation and forms will be assessed non-compliance fees as follows:

  • A non-refundable $250 non-compliance fee will be charged to a student's account the Monday following program orientation for any outstanding or overdue post-acceptance forms (this does not including flight and passport information forms).

AND

  • A non-refundable $250 non-compliance fee will be charged to a student's account 30 days prior to program departure for outstanding or overdue flight and passport information forms.

*Both bullet points listed above satisfy the final pre-approval quiz question in your study abroad program application. Make sure that you list BOTH.*

Spring Exchange and Spring Provider Program Application Deadline

September 15th, 2026

Students should submit their ¹Ï×ÓTV application for a specific study abroad program by this date. All students must pay the $100 ¹Ï×ÓTV Education Abroad Application Fee in order to participate. TBD - Spring Provider Programs (CEA CAPA, Experience Scotland, Harlaxton, KIIS, USAC, or WorldStrides, etc.) orientation dates are set by the specific program provider. ¹Ï×ÓTV does not have an in-person orientation for Spring Provider Programs.

Students wanting to participate in a ¹Ï×ÓTV State University Faculty-Led Program (FLP) for Spring Break (full Spring semester courses) should submit their ¹Ï×ÓTV application for a specific study abroad program by this date. Learn more about scholarship availability and eligibility requirements on the Policies and Procedures page. All students must pay the $100 ¹Ï×ÓTV Education Abroad Application Fee in order to participate.

Note: due to the popularity of ¹Ï×ÓTV Spring Break programs, we encourage all students to submit their application as early as possible. It is probable that a program application will be closed before the application deadline and a waitlist instituted if there is enough interest in the program.
