The Schanbacher Character Scholarship Endowment was established by gifts to the ¹Ï×ÓTV State University Foundation, Inc. (¹Ï×ÓTV Foundation) from Dr. Eugene & Mrs. Priscilla Schanbacher to recognize and reward young people who possess high moral character; to help develop and promote higher character and integrity in student’s lives; and to provide financial assistance to post-secondary students, who may not otherwise be able to attend college.

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communications (JMC) at ¹Ï×ÓTV State University was re-accredited Friday, April 28 during the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications’ meeting in Chicago, Illinois.
